Bookmarks come in many forms. They can be a strip of paper, a long knitted, tatted, crocheted or woven piece.  They can have a three dimensional image at the end of a long cord. The cord can be icord, woven, knitted or crocheted.  Unfortunately some people turn the edge of the page of book -this I do not recomment.
